What a GREAT Florist! Oviedo Florist is a community asset. I have used them for years. I will not even consider using another florist. They have done weddings and funerals in my family - as well as helped to make many occasions special. All of my orders consistently exceed my expectations. I always feel I have gotten full value. What I love is getting phone calls from people telling me how wonderful the flowers I sent made them feel!

How long have you been in business?
Oviedo Florist has been in continuous operation since 1969.
What is your primary product or service?
Cut floral Arrangements, dish gardens, and live plants for all occasions: anniversaries, birthdays, births, everyday floral, holidays, corsages, boutonnieres, sympathy, funerals, and much more. Oviedo Florist specializes in weddings and event floral arrangements. Oviedo Florist minimally advertises for weddings - most wedding work we do comes to us on a referral basis or because our bride attended a wedding done by Oviedo Florist. In other words, our brides are very satisfied!
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I am one of the few floral designers who graduated from with a formal Floral Design degree. After graduating from the Mann School of Floral Design in Denver, Colorado in 1977, I worked in florist shops all over the United States and in Germany. I bring that experience to my business; along with my three designers who have well over 30 years of combined experience.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Oviedo Florist is a top 500 Teleflora Florist - meaning we are in the top 500 among some 18,000 Teleflora shops. We have earned that by providing excellent floral products and services along with outstanding customer service. One thing this means that we both meet or exceed periodic Teleflora secret shopper tests. Being a large floral shop means we have rapid turnover of our live product. We get flowers daily where some shops get flowers a few times a week or only on once-a-week basis.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Oviedo Florist is in one location: 1419 West Broadway. There are no plans to expand. Instead, we want to make sure Oviedo Florist concentrates its talents and resources to provide the greatest possible excellence.

Which areas do you service?
We serve Eastern Seminole and Northeastern Orange counties including: Oviedo, Winter Springs, Chuluota, Geneva, Bithlo, UCF area, the University Blvd corridor, Goldenrod, Winter Park, Casselberry, Longwood, and the Waterford Lakes area. We deliver to several hospitals including Florida Hospitals North, East, and South, Winter Park Memorial, Seminole Hospital, and Central Florida Regional in Sanford. We also deliver to area funeral homes; especially Baldwin-Fairchild Oviedo, National Funeral Home in Oviedo, Baldwin-Fairchild Goldenrod, Baldwin-Fairchild Altamonte, Collison Funeral Homes in Winter Park, and Newcomer Funeral Home on South Goldenrod. We also deliver altar flowers to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Oviedo Methodist Church, Epiphany Lutheran Church, Redeemer Lutheran Church, Tuskawilla Baptist Church, and Tusckawilla Methodist Church.
